It’s April and true to form, the days are growing warmer. We have a saying in the deep south that we have four seasons: almost summer, summer, still summer, and that tiny cool snap called winter. Spring and autumn are very short things here.
Warmer days mean many things. Snowballs, fresh spring produce, longer days outside in the garden, and the return of our coldblooded creatures. For Chip, this is a wonderful season that will last till October because he can hunt and chase his favorite things: lizards.
I caught him yesterday morning looking up at the front porch wall, searching for an elusive bright green lizard. The hunt still continues.
